Spicy Braised Tofu

1 lb tofu
(1)-(1 onion, sliced
       cup sectioned green onions)
(2)-(2 tbsps Korean soy sauce
       1 tsp red pepper powder, soy sauce, sesame oil
       1 tbsp sugar
       ½ tsp minced garlic clove
       2 cups fish stock or water)

1. Cut tofu into eight square pieces; trim corners to form 2inch circles.

2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil, fry each side of tofu until golden brown.

3. In a sauce pan, add (1), tofu, and (2); when boiling , reduce heat to medium. Cook until sauce is almost evaporated. Place tofu on plate and pour the sauce over it.

     Serves 2.
